YOUCH!!
The flashing lights and other special effects like the disappearing arm and numb feelings were very impressive on Saturday night, but the thumping pain in my head really decided it for me, I don't think I want to try a migraine again!
Feeling somewhat more human today...
Glad I'm not the kitten, at least my arm only seemed to disappear, he's in for an operation on Wednesday and some things really ARE disappearing - ooch! Still, he's also having his hernia sorted so he should be happier for that at least.
We're still trying to decide on a name for him that everyone likes, yesterday we suggested Shadow as he always follows us around, but Jim has already had dog with that name, so back to the drawing board! Good job we don't have to name any kids between us all, they'd probably end up being 'Boy' and 'Girl'

eee...steve, you do make me giggle! Poor you and poor kitten! I think you should both stay tucked up warm in bed and get everyone else around you to make cups of tea and bring you chocolate by the gallon. Saying that, probably all kitten wants is a mouse or something cat like. Whilst were on the subject, if I had a kitten I think I'd call it Bodma. Although maybe Im just being biased?! Anyhow I'll catch up with ya soon enough, hopefully! Happy game loosing! Beth xx

The naming of Cats
The Naming of Cats is a difficult matter,
It isn't just one of your holiday games;
You may think at first I'm as mad as a hatter
When I tell you, a cat must have THREE DIFFERENT NAMES.
First of all, there's the name that the family use daily,
Such as Peter, Augustus, Alonzo or James,
Such as Victor or Jonathan, or George or Bill Bailey -
All of them sensible everyday names.
There are fancier names if you think they sound sweeter,
Some for the gentlemen, some for the dames:
Such as Plato, Admetus, Electra, Demeter -
But all of them sensible everyday names.
But I tell you, a cat needs a name that's particular,
A name that's peculiar, and more dignified,
Else how can he keep up his tail perpendicular,
Or spread out his whiskers, or cherish his pride?
Of names of this kind, I can give you a quorum,
Such as Munkustrap, Quaxo, or Coricopat,
Such as Bombalurina, or else Jellylorum -
Names that never belong to more than one cat.
But above and beyond there's still one name left over,
And that is the name that you never will guess;
The name that no human research can discover -
But THE CAT HIMSELF KNOWS, and will never confess.
When you notice a cat in profound meditation,
The reason, I tell you, is always the same:
His mind is engaged in a rapt contemplation
Of the thought, of the thought, of the thought of his name:
His ineffable effable
Effanineffable
Deep and inscrutable singular Name.
(T.S Elliot)
Heheheheheheheheheh sorry couldn't resist giving you that little gem of a poem.
Some ideas for cat names

I can definitly sympathise with the nightmare that is Migraines, not much fun are they.
God bless you and inspire you always!
Yours in randomness!

Wow Kerri! That was such a great poem! I've never heard it before. While I was reading it I thought maybe you had written it because I do know you write poetry.
As for naming the cat Steve...well I'm thinking that it's been a bit too long now and your problem may be that after calling it cat for so long nothing else will really suit it. Quite a dilema and I agree, it is a good thing you never had children to name!

Thanks from me too for the poem Kerri, a lovely little piece.
As for naming the cat, Jim signed him into the vet as "Biggles" which we discovered when we dropped him off for his op this morning, so I guess it's stuck! He didn't much like travelling in the truck :-(
